One thing you need to know about your girl Mucci is I LOVE checklist and I love tips so that I am prepared and don't forget anything before my departure. Having these top notch tips my loves will have you ready to become a International Travel Guru! Although I travel a lot I am often very forgetful and I tend to forget things while packing and preparing for my trip if I don't have a checklist. So with that being said, here is your key to success:

  • Wait to Buy your flights until after 3pm on Tuesdays
    1. Tuesdays are the days Major Airlines drop their fares to compete with discounted airlines. So set your clocks for Tuesdays and catch those deals!
  • When booking flights or hotels use a private window
    1. Most travel sites track how many times you visited their site and will raise the price just because you've been on the site before.
  • Invest in TSA Pre-Check and Global Entry
    1. TSA Pre-Check offers many benefits including expedited airport security process and not having to remove your shoes, belts, and jackets. Also the ability to leave your laptops and TSA-approved liquids in your luggage.
      1. Cost - $85 for a 5 year membership, $70 for renewal if online.
    2. Global Entry is a U.S Customs and Border Protection program that allows you expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers when arriving to the United States. Global Entry also included TSA Pre-Check.
      1. Cost - $100 for a 5 year membership
  • Scan your important documents to your phone
    1. Sometimes we often misplace things so I recommend having a back up copy of your passport, identification cards and flight itinerary handy in case of theft or losing it.
  • Roll your clothes in your suitcase instead of folding them.
    1. Not only does it save space, but it prevents wrinkles.
  • Use Dryer sheets to keep your clothes smelling super duper fresh in your suitcase.
    • This will keep your clothes smelling fresh and even coming back home your dirty laundry will smell fresh!
  • Pack a health and safety kit with face masks, hand sanitizer and wipes
    • Covid-19 is still pretty much active still and we all need to keep ourselves safe so pack multiple face mask, sanitizer, wipes and other health items to ensure your protection.
  • Find the best deals on luggage and toiletries through Walmart, Dollar Tree and Amazon
    • Suitcases are hard to come by especially cheap durable ones and the best times to find luggage deals is usually during Black Friday and Christmas Deals.
      • The Suitcase for you is rated 5/5 stars and comes in 2pcs and 3pcs. This suitcase is very durable, wear-resistant and a lightweight spinner suitcase.
    • Some people think they are too good for Dollar Tree but all the toiletries you need you can get for under $10.
    • The Toiletry Travel Bag for you is equipped with Zipper travel luggage pouch carry on and it is clear and airline compliant and the absolute best for men and women and rated 4.5/5 stars.
  • Download the airline app you are flying through and Check-in 24 hours before.
    • This allows you to skip long lines, download your boarding pass to your phone or wallet on your phone if you have a IPhone.
  • Bring a empty water bottle
    • This allows you to fill up your bottle after going through customs because as we all know if you bring a full bottle of water, TSA will toss it.
  • Don't order coffee or tea on the plane.
    • The water in the water and tea come from water tanks that are by the bathrooms and GET THIS! THEY ARE NEVER CLEANED which is disgusting putting those toxins in your body.
  • Download myTSA mobile app
    • This allows you to see how long lines are at the airport and gives you a estimate of how busy the airport will be.
  • GET TRAVEL INSURANCE!!!!!!
    • Some people think this is just another bill to your trip and guess what? IT IS! But this travel insurance will keep you covered if anything serious was to happen while you are abroad such as: Medical Cost, Travel Cancellation, Covers lost/stolen/damaged items, and some excursions.
    • All travel insurers are different you have to do your research to find which one applies to you, my go to is AARDY Travel Insurance.
